Addie Pauline Byrd entered this life on November 6, 1934, in Henrietta, Oklahoma.  She was the oldest born to the union of the late Elmer and Edna Tunley.  She went home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2020, surrounded by loved ones.

Pauline was proceeded in death by her husband, Bennie L. Byrd Jr., her father, mother, and one brother, William Tunley, two children, a son, Leland, and daughter Belinda.

In July 1953, she married Bennie L. Byrd Jr. To this union  six children were born, Michelle, Theron, Anita, Cynthia, Leland, and Belinda.

Throughout her life, Pauline worked for several employers including, St. Luke’s Hospital, US Department of Agriculture and Truman Medical Centers where she retired after 20+ years of service.

Pauline was involved in several social organizations including the Midwest Bowler Guild and the RT Coles Class of ’53 Alumni.  She also received the Prestigious Jack Adams Award for bowling.  Pauline was a longtime member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church and Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Willing Workers Committee.

Pauline loved life, family, and the Lord.  Pauline leaves to cherish her memories, four children: D. Michelle Bridges, Theron Byrd, Anita Byrd (Ivory Traylor), and Cynthia Byrd.  One sister, Donna Maxine Spears; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
