Mrs. Adrinne Threadgill, 65, of Kansas City, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She left her earthly body surrounded by her loved ones.
Adrinne René Gorden entered this life, October 7, 1958, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS., the youngest of 4 children born to Myrtice Gorden. Both parents, Father Enois Fort and Mother Myrtice Jones, preceded her in death.
Adrinne’s spiritual journey began at an early age when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her primary education began at J. S. Chick Elementary with higher learning continuing at Southeast Junior and High School. Upon graduating with the class of 1976, Adrienne worked in various capacities until she secured a position in transportation as a dispatcher for Kansas City Missouri School District, and surrounding areas, for over 30 years until her health no longer allowed.
On July 2, 1975, Adrienne united in marriage with the love of her life, Mr. Irvin Threadgill Jr. To this union, 3 lovely children were born: Constamika D. Threadgill, Keyana L. Threadgill, and Irvin Threadgill III. Being a wife and mother was one of her proudest achievements. In addition to building a happy, loving, warm home, Adrinne enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and friends. She used her hands to spread love through her baking creating TT’s Sweet Shop with her most popular products being her homemade Red Velvet and 3-layer Chocolate cakes. For those close to her, she was known to be their teacher, counselor, lawyer, mechanic, meteorologist, and doctor – jack of many trades who mastered them all. To know her was a blessing as you then became family.
“René” as she was affectionately called, was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Irvin Threadgill Jr, daughter Constamika D. Threadgill, brother Larry Flowers, along with both sets of grandparents.
Mother Adrinne leaves to cherish her many memories with her children: daughter Keyana L. Threadgill and son Irvin Threadgill III; beautiful grandchildren: Danny Rainey III, Malik Rainey, Keiyah Rainey, Janai Rainey, Xaiver Rainey, Irvin Threadgill IV, Koby Threadgill, and Amauri Threadgill; two great-grandchildren: Nova and Renzo Rainey; along with her siblings: Dannie Patton of Kansas City, MO. and Willie Hendrix of San Antonio, TX.; god-daughters: Alisha Stallworth (Tavaris) and Brandie Guy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Adrinne R. Threadgill was truly a jewel!
