ur beloved Al Taylor entered this world on September 5, 1978, right here in Kansas City, Missouri, to proud parents Arthurine Henderson and Albert Taylor. He was raised with love by his mother and step-father, Thomas Simmons.
Al's journey took him to the Job Corps, where he earned his GED in Excelsior Springs. He found enjoyment in home health work, where he provided essential care to those in need. He also dedicated time to the Salvation Army, but his heart was mostly with the family restaurants, where he brought his energy and charm to every shift.
Described as a true fireball, Al had a personality that could light up any room. His courageous spirit and love for people made him the life of the party, always ready to entertain. To his family, he was silly, sometimes a handful, but always with a heart as big as his smile. He genuinely cared for others, showing up for the important moments and he danced to the beat of his own drum.
Al Taylor leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He leaves to mourn his devoted mother, Arthurine Henderson; his father, Thomas Simmons; his cherished children: Al Jr., Jaquaylah, Alaysia, Amir, Dane, and Ma'Keyla; his grandchild: Amari; special nephew: Isaiah; and his siblings: Rashad, Precious, Farida, and Tomi Simmons. Preceding him in death is his beloved sister Shukriyyah, Thomas Jr., and Ahmad Simmons. Also left to cherish his memory are his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, soon to be grandchild, and close friends.
