Alan Jamal Rush was born on February 21, 2007, in Kansas City, Missouri, to his loving parents, Adam and Sharita Rush. He was their only son, a cherished blessing to the family.
Alan was raised in the church, where he developed a foundation of faith and love for the Lord. As a child, he sang in the children’s church choir. Most recently, Alan served alongside his father in the Security Ministry at their church, continuing to grow in his faith while serving. Alan truly loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church. During family prayer time, his prayers grew more heartfelt and intimate, reflecting his deepening relationship with God.
Alan’s love of sports began at three years old. He spent much of his childhood playing football, baseball and basketball. His passion for athletics continued throughout his years at Raymore-Peculiar High School, where he played on the football and basketball teams. Beyond the athletic field and court, Alan was also a member of the school choir, where he enjoyed participating in performances and sharing his love of music.
During his senior year, Alan earned certifications in electrical studies. Following graduation, he began working alongside his father as an electrical helper. Under his father’s guidance, Alan learned the trade, gaining knowledge and skills with the hope of one day continuing the legacy of Gold Rush Electric, the business his father had established.
Alan was an angel on earth, entrusted with a 19-year divine assignment to show the meaning of God’s love. He truly embodied the fruits of the Spirit and will forever be remembered for his calm demeanor, gentle nature, and kind heart. He was a young man who never needed to be the loudest person in the room to leave the deepest impression. His presence spoke volumes, and his character reflected a quiet strength that touched the hearts of those around him.
Alan leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving parents: Adam and Sharita Rush; his sisters: Dejana Pruitt and Ava Rush; his nephew, Dominik Dudley Moore; his grandmothers: Karita Walker and Dorothy Daniel; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. His gentle spirit, beautiful heart, and quiet example of God’s love will forever remain a part of us all.
