Alfonzo Stanley 76 of Kansas City, Missouri died on Thursday March 16, 2017 at home. He was born in Aubrey, Arkansas on November 17, 1940 to Alsee and Birdie Lou Stanley. Both parents proceeded him in death. Alfonzo was a graduate of Robert R. Morton High School. After graduating Alfonzo moved to Kansas City, Missouri. He worked for the Kansas City Water Service for 33 years and retired in 1993. He was involved in the church serving on the Deacon Board, he song in the male choir and he helped with the up keepings of the church. One of his favorite hobbies was tending to his hogs or cows in Aubrey, Arkansas preparing for sale. He also had a lawn service called Stanley’s Lawn Service which he loved to do which allowed him to spend time with his grandsons which whom he taught them the meaning of earning a dollar.
Alfonzo was a true fighter he battled every illness that he faced. He was a man of God, a husband, a father, brother and friend.
Alfonzo was proceeded in death by his wife Mary Stanley, siblings Ozie Stanley, Theoplis Stanley, Hubbie Stanley and Humphrey Stanley. Alfonzo leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Irma Stanley, daughter Aleasha Stanley and son Travis Stanley (Cassandra) and daughter in-law Leandrea Stanley. Step daughter and son Linda Barton and Al Barton. God-daughter Amber Williams. Five grandchildren, Tiara Stanley, DeMarcco Carter, Travis Stanley Jr, Traniece Stanley and Richard Schiele one great grandson Jaylen Jones. Two brothers Ebbie Lee Stanley, James Stanley and a host of family and friend.
