Mr. Alfred Daniel Rayner was born on May 18, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri to Daniel and Arrie Rayner. He was the seventh son of eleven children born to this union.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Jesus’ Name.

Alfred received his G.E.D. on August 2nd, 1984 and received two certificates of Training in Food Production and Service at Mingo Job Corps Center and UA Medical Center, Poplar Buff, MO. He was a long-term worker at the Marriott Hotel downtown Kansas City, Missouri. He remained in the food service field for many years.

Alfred was a loving father and an exceptional wonderful brother who was always there for anyone who needed him, especially family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a nephew, and two nieces. Alfred departed this life on May 24, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice House.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his son: Alfred Michael Lee, Jr.; one grandson: Rhakeem Lee; six brothers: Evern Edwards, David Lee Edwards, Daniel Lee Edwards, Robert Earl Rayner, Lee Otha Rayner, all of Kansas City, Missouri, Calvin C. Edwards (Cherryl) of Shreveport, Louisiana; three sisters: Vander Edwards, Claudette Harrell, and Annie Wheeler Thurston (Dwight), all of Kansas City, Missouri; a special friend: Lester Hughes; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
