Alfred was an active and cherished member of the community, and his absence will be felt by the many lives he touched throughout the years. He had a gift for leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he delighted in socializing and engaging in conversations that could last for hours. His open heart and attentive ear made him a source of comfort for those in need.
Alfred's dedication to mentoring young people was evident in his 15-plus years of coaching track and football, including the joy he experienced coaching his grandson Jeremiah Rodgers' team, alongside his son Alfred Rodgers II. The camaraderie he shared with fellow coaches, players, and their families held great significance in his life. Alfred was an ardent Kansas City Chiefs fan and relished sharing this passion with his children and numerous friends. His spirit will undoubtedly remain with his loved ones during game days.
In his later life, Alfred spent ample time bonding with his grandkids, teaching them, and making everlasting memories. Alfred will be deeply missed, but his beautiful life, memories, and the love he shared will be treasured by his family, lifelong friends, classmates, co-workers, neighbors, church members and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
