Alice Marie Huntley

Alice Marie Huntley was born February 26, 1947 to the union of Elizabeth Toney and Jack Hawkins in Eudora, AR. She attended school in her hometown but later moved to Kansas City, MO., where she settled and started her new journey.

Alice was an employee for Bendix Plant and Harrah’s Casino where she served as a table dealer until she retired. She enjoyed watching her game shows, The Young And The Restless, playing cards, shooting pool, spinning her blues records and spending time with her family. On February 1, 1980, Alice married Lee Edward Buford Sr. of KCMO in Las Vegas, NV. The two were married for seven years when God called Lee home. Alice found love again and married Freddie Lee Huntley Sr. of Hope, AR on January 5, 1991 in KCMO.

Together the two attended St. James United Methodist Church on Paseo. Alice was called home to glory on December 12,2022. She was preceded in death by Elizabeth Toney (mother), Jack Hawkins (father), Lee Buford Sr. (ex husband), Yvonette Moore (daughter), Frank James (brother), Monte’ Buford Sr. (grandson) and a host of other relatives.

Alice leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Freddie Huntley Sr., her daughter, Jacquelyn Buford, her son, Edward Buford Sr. (Dorothy Berryman), children in love, Rachelle Huntley and Freddie Huntley Jr., six granddaughters, Dewana Moore, Takea Chase, Tanae Chase, Leah Miles, Jazzmyne Buford and Shanette Buford, three grandsons, Andrew Miles III. Jamar Buford and Edward Buford Jr., two grandsons in love, Jarrel Berryman and Anthony Canady Jr., many great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren, special cousin Sharon Jason, along with other family members and friends who will all miss her dearly.
