Alvin Choyer Williams was born January 3, 1931, in Linden Texas to Reverend Noah Williams and anna Christine Bruce Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 of 11 siblings.

Known as Al, he attended Dorsey High School in Los Angeles California. He attended University of southern California (USC) for several years before joining the U.S. air Force during the Korean war in 1952. He served 4 years and received an Honorable Discharge in 1956 with a National Defense Service Medal and a Good conduct Medal. He worked in the aerospace industry until he was called into the ministry. He attended a Methodist Seminary School where he was ordained. He wrote many sermons on the perils of not submitting to the will of God. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice which he blessed others with quite often. Early in life he sang in the youth choir at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

He married Margaret V. Young in 1957. They had to daughters. Donna Williams Farley and Althea Williams Siegal.

Later in life, he married Martha Agbey in 2015. They had a wonderful 8 years together full of joy and laughter.

Al was a soft-spoken man. He had a vey pleasant demeanor and an upbeat personality. He was a strong Christian man who loved the Lord with all his heart, soul mind and strength. He lived his life that way. Knowing that he was in the arms of the Lord. He had no fear in life and in death.

Al leaves his wife Martha Williams, daughter Donna and althea, grandsons Antonio, Ryan, Gabriel, and Sean. Great grandchildren Jaryn, Kieran, Tchvone, Elijah, Kalone and Anana. sister Sara Frazier and brother Caldwell Williams. Stepsons Marquin and Deron Jones as well as of host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
