Andre' K. Ferrer

Andre’ K. Ferrer passed away on August 21, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on June 2, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Gertrude Jones.

He grew up and attended the Kansas City Public Schools and graduated from Southeast High School in 1978.

After high school, Andre’ began working for Research Medical Center, where he worked for seven years. He later worked for UMKC, The Kansas City Star, and as a private caterer for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Andre’ was preceded in death by his loving sister Donna Ferrer, Uncle John Jones, Aunt E. Bervyn Jones, and Aunt Dorance Bowman.

He is survived by his mother, Gertrude Jones; his brother, Michael Ferrer (Gail); his sister, Yvonne Ferrer; his children, Andre Allen, Ebony Patterson, Keith Dunn, and Andrea Hopkins; his nephews, Christopher, Terrence, Byron, and Nicholas; and a host of nieces, aunts, uncles, family, and friends.
