Angela York

Angela Renee York, everyone called her “Renee “, departed life at the age of 46 on February 14, 2021. She was born on August 27, 1974 in Kansas City, Missouri. Born to Ollie York and Ethel Sharp, Renee accepted Christ at an early age. She attended De La Salle High School and graduated in 1992 (she was also the Prom Queen). She furthered her education and attended Concord Medical School and graduated in 2018 with a Medical Assistant Certification. Renee worked at Niles Home for Children as a Supervisor for 15 years. She was currently employed at Broadridge as a Fulfillment Clerk.

Renee’s love and passion were mentoring kids and helping people. No matter who you were, she loved and treated everyone the same.

She was very family oriented; she believed in family sticking together. If she heard otherwise you could rest assure, she would be calling you to get to the bottom of it and made sure that both or all of you were back to loving each other again.

Preceding her in death was her daughter, Beautiful Kimorah Tolbert; and aunt, Essie Watson (grandma) along with other aunts and uncles.

To cherish her memories are: Ollie (Dorothy) York of Dallas Texas; Cornell Tolbert of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, DaJanea Malachiya Courtney, and MaRojanea Ta’Reell both of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Duthchess York; brother, Dustin York both of Dallas Texas; and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lot of wonderful friends.
