Listen to Obituary

Anne Elizabeth Jackson entered this world on July 10, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the fifth child born to the union of the late Rev. Louis L. and Millie J. Merrill. She obtained grace and went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2020 with her beloved pet cat “Kelly(Ki Ki)” at her side. She was preceded in death by both grandparents, father, mother, sisters Loretta L. Lucas, Millicent J. James;, and brothers Bruce D. Merrill and Gordon C. Porter. Anne (Merrill) attended the Kansas City public schools and graduated from Paseo High School in 1972. Shortly after graduating, she married her high school sweetheart, Thomas E. Jackson, Jr. After a lengthy marriage it was dissolved but they remained lifelong friends. No children born to this union. Through her life, Anne worked for numerous companies in various positions. She was employed and retired as an environmental house keeper. She enjoyed just being home doing very little and being with something she loved more that life(don’t judge) ; her baby........Kelly the cat. She was truly a cat lover like her mother.

She leaved to cherish her memories: her sisters, Barbara Baker, Yvonne Doolin, And Carolyn Merrill; her brother, Minister James Merrill(Joyce); and special lifelong friend, Thomas E. Jackson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
