Annette Chism-Crockett

"God Giveth and God Taketh Away"

Annette Baker was born on the 3rd day of April in 1958 to the late Hazle Spratt and Alfonzia Baker in Dumas Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Hazle Spratt; Father Alfonzia Baker; Honorary Father Rochester Spratt; Daughter Eugenia Chism; Son Edward ChismJr and daughter-in-law Deborah Baker.

She completed her education through-out the Arkansas and Kansas City school districts.  She graduated from Westport High School in 1975. She was a devoted and hard working employee for Truman Medical Center for 20 plus years, until she retired.  Upon retirement Annet and her husband operated and owned their own cleaning company.  At an early age Annette became a faithful member of the Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend C.L. Williams and the late Joseph Clark.  She was a devoted member and served on several organizations of the church for 35 plus years of service.

On November 25, 1995 Annette united in holy matrimony to Mr. Ernest Crockett of Kansas City, MO.  With this union she gained two more daughters.

Annette departed her earthly life on March 10, 2022, at home.

Annette leaves to cherish her love and memories: Husband Ernest Crockett, of the home; Sons: Marklo baker and Leroy Chism, Daughter's: Erica (Jerome) Jackson and Tiffany Crockett, all of the home:  Four Step-son's: Kevin, Larry, Keilon and Raymone; 2 Step-daughters: Inez and LaTis; three Sisters: Theotrice, Gladys, and Shellie, all of the city; 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one Uncle: Clarence Williams; two Aunts: Rubbie Seals and Leola (David) Crockett of the city; two God-Sisters: Andrea Paige and Lisa Williams; a special daughter Nicole Bridgeford; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
