Annie Lee Alexander-Russell was born on November 28, 1948 in Altheimer, Arkansas. She was the first of seven children born to Aaron Pruitt Sr. and Alberta Pruitt. When Annie was just a child, her parents, along with the next two siblings, relocated from Altheimer, Arkansas to Kansas City, Missouri.
Annie married Horace Gene Alexander and to this union two sons were born; Errick Orlando Alexander and Damon Lamar Alexander. She later married Ronald Russell who preceded her in death.
Although circumstances did not permit Annie to graduate from the last High School she attended, Paseo High School, Annie pressed on and obtained her G.E.D. After her G.E.D Annie went on to receive her Associates Degree, then her Bachelors Degree and later a Masters Degree in Education. Annie enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with her sisters, cooking, sewing, being a business owner of A. A. Russell Enterprises, researching her DNA, entertaining, decorating and teaching.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age, loved God's word and became a licensed Evangelist. Assisted by her sisters, Darlene and Deborah, at the decline of her parents health Annie took an early retirement from the Independence School District to become the caregiver for both parents for several years until dads death in 2012 and mom being placed in a Nursing Home in 2016 where she currently resides.
The last church Annie attended was Calvary Chapel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Harold Molden Sr.
