Annie Ruth Wright

Mother Annie Ruth Wright was born March 12, 1937 in Leland, Mississippi (Washington County) to the late Samuel Robinson and Amy Buxton-Robinson of Leland, Mississippi. Mother Wright united in Holy Matrimony on December 24, 1955 to Bossie Wright who preceded her in death. She has 2 Sisters and 2 Brothers; in which, 3 have preceded her in death and they are Rosa Lee (Doll) Edwards, Pearline Collier, and McKinley “Manson” Robinson. Mother Wright’s Brother George (Joe) Robertson lives in Stockton, California. Mother Wright had a host of Nieces and Nephews; also, a host of Great Nieces and Nephews. She departed this life on Wednesday morning, June 07, 2017.

Mother Wright confessed hope in Christ as her personal Lord and Savior early in life and was a dedicated member of several local churches in the inner Kansas City area. Later in years, she moved her membership to Calvary Chapel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Harold Molden.

Mother Wright was a kind, loving, compassionate person and considerate to all she met. Mother Wright was loved by many, her memories will live on in the hearts and minds of all that loved and knew her. She had a heart of compassion and was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.

Mother Wright worked many different jobs since coming to Kansas City in the late 50’s such as; operating her own janitorial service, worked for Ford Motor Company and owner of Wright’s Home of Care. As a caregiver, she cared for many mentally disabled people in the inner Kansas City area for over 20 years.

Other than her Church family, her loving memories are left with a few devoted people who really assisted her tremendously during the time of her illness and they are as following; Natasha Collier (Niece), Linda Clemons (God daughter), Mother Minnie Miller, and Patricia Harris .
