Mr. Aree Atkins “Buddy” August 15, 1945 – February 27, 2024
Born in Mineral Springs Arkansas to Irene Porter & Earl Atkins raised by his grandparents Jimmy & Janie Porter
Buddy graduated from Howard County High School in Tollette Arkansas and moved to Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 22, he worked at Goodwill, and drove tow trucks for AAA & OTTO
Aree was preceded by his Mother Iene Moye and Father Earl Atkins, maternal grandparents Jimmy & Janie Porter, his siblings Mr. Ronald Moye, Mrs. Beverly Smith, Mr. Larry Moye, nephew Samuel Ray Smith and great nephew Demitry Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memories Mr. Raymond Moye Jr. Dr. Sherry “Cleven” Washington and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends.
Mr. Aree Atkins was a member at Beauty of Holiness New Testament Pentecostal Church he loved his family dearly and he often shared words of wisdom with us such as “Keep Living.” He meant what he said and said what he meant. Buddy enjoyed going fishing and in his later years he enjoyed volunteering @ Beauty of Holiness Church pantry and fellowshipping with his long-time friends Mr. Sam Isac, Mr. J.C. Chesser & Mr. Samuel Smith. He looked forward to attending Homecoming in Tollette Arkansas and participated at every family reunion. Mr. Aree Atkins was everyone's “Uncle Buddy
