Arvonia Robinson

Arvonia was born June 6,1941 to the union of the late Marshall Senior and Katie Olds of Columbus, Georgia.  As a young child Arvonia moved to Detroit Michigan where she attended elementary school. She later moved to Kansas City, Mo. Where she completed her high school education at Manuel High School.

In 1955 she married Macyeo K. Jones. To this union on child was born, Lau Franze Jones. Macyeo preceded her in death.  She later met and married Everett Robinson on Mother’s Day 1980. He was mesmerized from day one by her beautiful eyes.

Arvonia accepted Christ as her personal Savior April 1979 at the Berean Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor Edward Moore. She worked as a secretary of the Carver Christian Day School.

Arvonia was very creative and loved interior decorating whether it was pottery, landscaping or simple home decorations.  Everything she touched seemed to turn to gold. She also loved traveling and visiting with family and friends. She was a seasoned cook, her peach cobblers and sweet potato pies are legacies never to be forgotten.

Eight siblings preceded her in death. She was  loved by many and will be greatly missed . She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband, Everett Robinson, her daughter Lau Franz Jones, a step daughter Esprenzda Davis, one grandson Dominic Jones, One brother  James Olds of Kansas City, Missouri, Two sisters Ramilda Boyd(James) and Matilda Terry both of Detroit, Michigan. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & godchildren.
