Asai Janae Belcher

Asai Janae Belcher was born on October 13, 1993 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph Belcher Sr. and Marcia Lynn Sneed. She was the third of six children to this union. She accepted Christ at a young age at Allen Chapel AME Church. Asai was very active in her church as part of the praise dance team and youth ministry YPD as well as a teacher in the youth church. Asai attended F.L. Schlagle High School in Kansas City, KS. She was very athletic and participated in volleyball, softball, and auxiliary dance team. Asai went on to continue her education at Kansas State University where she majored in Fashion Design and Interior Design. Her ambition was to become an Interior Designer. Her favorite past time was thrift store shopping. She could find some of the most amazing deals! She loved to dance and she graced our presence with her wonderful, bright, smile and outgoing personality. Asai’s greatest blessing was the birth of her beautiful daughter Au’Dre Nichole Belcher. She was an amazing mother and devoted her life to raising Au’Dre. Asai transitioned from her earthly home, to her heavenly home on August 8, 2018. She was proceeded in death by her grandfathers, John Belcher Sr. and Alexander Peeler III. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Au’Dre of Kansas City, KS. Her parents Joseph and Dionne Belcher of Kansas City, KS and Seneca and Marcia Sneed of Newton, KS; her siblings, Alexis Belcher of Dallas, TX; AnaLeaha Belcher of Bellview, IL; Pamela Williams of Houston, TX; Joseph Belcher Jr. of Nashville, TN; Arrington Belcher, Jordan Belcher, and Carrington Allen of Kansas City, KS; Lukas, Joshua, Alicia, Ayden, and Seneca Sneed of Newton, KS; her grandmothers, Dianne Belcher of Valdosta, GA; Edith Peeler of Kansas City, MO; Carol Watson of Kansas City, KS and grandfather, Thomas Watson of Kansas City, KS along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece, other relatives and friends who loved Asai dearly.
