Barbara Ann Davis, 61, was born March 19, 1959 to the union of Sylvester Mitchell and Johnnie Mae Wright in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was the eldest child born to this union.

Both parents, one brother: Sylvester Mitchell Fitzpatrick; and one niece: Andrea Mitchell preceded her in death.

Barbara grew up in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District.  Years later, she earned her GED.  Barbara was an avid reader.  It was hard not to see her with a book in her hand.  Barbara was the type of person who could never turn her back on anyone in need.  Her home was the gathering place for family and friends.  She was employed by Research Hospital upon her death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 46 years: Luther Davis, and to this union they had four boys: Luther W. Davis (Naylene), Richard Davis, Raymond Davis (Karla), Jeffery Davis (Ashley); four step children: Steven McKay, Arnetta Kelly, Brandon Davis, and Danielle Harvey; two brothers: Wade Wonsey (Lorrisa) of Boilingbrook, IL., and bruce Clark (Makeeba) of Dallas Texas; seven sisters: Darlene Tuggle, Tina Clark (Robert), Judanna Mitchell, Yolanda Davis (Andre), Delores Gardner (Michael) all of Kansas City, Missouri, Norma Jean Wright of Byron, Texas, and Tressia Finley of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; twenty-six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
