Barbara Jean Kirby

Barbara Jean Kirby, 68, departed this life on September 1, 2020 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was born on May 3, 1952 in Milo Oklahoma to Otto Louis Brown, Sr., and Lillie Brown.

She grew up in Admore, Oklahoma.  She graduated from Graham High School in Milo, Oklahoma.  She later began working for Experience Nursing Facility as a Certified Nurses Aid.

Barbara married Sylvester Kirby on March 23, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri.  They were happily married for 47 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lillie Brown; one daughter, Tracey Kirby; one son, Sylvester Kirby, Jr.(Chip); two brothers, Otto Brown, Jr., and Raydale Brown.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Sylvester Kirby, Sr.; her daughters, Angela (John) Rolls, and Yolanda (Michael) Woodard; her step –daughter, Evuta (Larry) Richard; five grandchildren, Ashley Rolls, Montel Woodard, John Rolls, J., Tracee Woodard, and Jaydah Rolls; four sisters, Kathy (Willie) Vadon, Daphanie Brown, Cheryl (James) Hansbrough, Emma (Benny)Fuller; three brothers, Larry (Kathryn) Brown, Paul Brown, Ronald Brown; her gad-daughter, Lisa (Charles) Jackson; a special friend of 42 years, Sharon (Larry) Marshall, and a host of other relatives and friends.
