Barbara L Mabery

Barbara Lenore King-Mabery, also known as "Lynnie", was born November 17th, 1956 to the union of Betty King and George Gonzales. She was in the graduating class of 1975 of Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Barbara devoted her life to Christ until her death. Barbara departed this life on Saturday, July 14th, 2018. Her life was devoted in giving her heart and soul to Christ. She was funny, upbeat, caring, and a warm-hearted person. She made an impression on every one that surrounded her with a smile and joke to follow. Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as her husband, John Mabery; one sister, Sandy Strickland and also a granddaughter, MeKale De'Veon Simmons. She was also preceded in death by many of her extended family members, Frances and Eddie Taylor Sr., Robert Hamilton Sr., Eddie L. Taylor, Ronald E. Taylor, and Tonya M. Taylor. Barbara leaves to cherish her loving memory to her daughter, Malica Deon Kind "TootAGirl"; one granddaughter, Cierra C.; Barr; two grandsons, Del'Vonta D. Hatcher and Michael D. Simmons, Jr.; her two brothers, Larry Buchanan (Cynthia) of Dallas, Texas; and George Gonnzales of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Darlene Luckett-Strickland of Savannah, Georgia; and Carmen Byers of Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves her extended sisters and brothers: Jewell Jackson, Sheila Taylor-Craig, Terri L. Giles, Sonya M. Taylor-Ward, and Rahman Muhammad and a host of family and friends.
