Bessie Pace Bedford

Bessie Pace Bedford, 62, passed away on July 17, 2022, at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on June 6, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri to Mr. James Lymon Pace Sr. and Mrs. Weltene Clay Pace. Mrs. Bedford grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school she attended Donnelly College in Kansas City, Kansas where she received an associate degree in Child Development. She began work for Public Transportation as a School Bus Driver where she worked for over 25 years. Mrs. Bedford also enjoyed sewing and crafting. She married Mr. Gregory Bedford on September 1, 1991, in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married for 30 years.

Mrs. Bedford was preceded in death by her mother, Weltene C. Pace; father, James L. Pace Sr.; sister, Joann Pace; brother, Byron Pace; grandmother, Stella Pace; and stepson, Gregory Harper.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory Bedford; daughter, Wahkinna Pace Preston (Carl); sons, Steven Pace, and Cortez Pace; 8 sisters; 3 sisters-in-law; 1 brother; 3 brothers-in-law; grandchildren, Stephon Williams Jr., Shakinna Williams, Saikinna Williams, Passion Pace, Jordan Pace, Michael Pace, Alexiauna Harper, Geshawn Harper, Gregory Harper, Geron Harper, Asiana Harper, A’Blessin Pace, Cortez Pace Jr., Te’Zeah Pace, Cortea’ Pace, and Alizae Pace; and a host of other family members and friends.
