Beverly E. Robinson

Beverly Elizabeth Robinson, 89, passed away on August 3,2024, at home, in Independence, MO. She was born on January 9,1935 in Liberty, MO to

Sylvester Bee Hickman and Dolly Mae Rife.

Beverly grew up in Excelsior Springs, MO, graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1952. After high school she attended General Hospital in Kansas City, MO where she received an LPN in nursing in 1969. She began working for The Medical Center of Independence as an LPN and retired in 1998 after 30+ years. She was involved in The American Legion #622, a member of Second Baptist Church in Independence, MO. as a member of The Inspirational Choir, The Welcome Committee & secretary for her Sunday School class.

Beverly married Marvin Eugene Robinson on April 9, 1955, and they were happily married for 63 years. To their union, they added three daughters, Marissa, Linda, and Melissa.

Marvin & Beverly traveled to 48 states as well as camping in a 26 ½ foot travel trailer. She loved playing bingo and going to the “boats”.

She was preceded into death by both parents, her husband, Marvin, two daughters Marissa & Melissa Robinson, and her sister, Ina Mae Tucker.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Linda Robinson-Smith, siblings, Leon Allen (Diane) Liberty, MO, Dolores Eggleston, Chicago, IL, Sylvia Thompson, Cordelia Hickman, Gladys Hickman and Rosie Drain, 5 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren & 8 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
