Ms. Billie Jean Walker, Jameson-Williams, 73 years old of Kansas City, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends, after battling a progression of health issues.
Billie Jean was born to Dorothy Lee Walker and Willie (Bill) Graves on February 7, 1951. Arthur E. Williams, Sr. her loving and devoted stepfather, entered her life at a pre-adolescence age.
Billie Jean’s mother, Dorothy L. Williams, father, Willie (Bill) Graves, stepfather, Arthur E. Williams, Sr., maternal grandparents, Doris and Raymond Walker, Sr., paternal grandmothers Opal Carr, Abel and Cassandra Williams, her sons (Independence, Missouri Fire-Fighter) David F. Jameson, Jr., and Michael E. Jameson, brothers LeRoy E. Looney and Anthony Walker, all preceded her in death.
Billie Jean received her formal Education in the Kansas City Missouri School District. She attended Carver Elementary School for her basic studies and attended both Manuel High School and Lincoln High School.
Billie Jean was employed with the Kansas City School District stationed at Faxon Elementary School as a Teacher’s Aide. She was employed for several years with Amethyst Place Transitional Housing for Young Women at both the Mid-Town and Raytown, Missouri locations until her retirement.
Billie Jean enjoyed watching cowboy movies, listening to all genres of music and dancing. Her most precious moments were spending time with her family. She was very passionate about making sure her sisters and her brothers were taken care of, because she felt that was what a big sister was assigned to do. Her love for her children and grandchildren was always present. Whether it was providing a listening ear, providing monetary support or just offering mere words of comfort.
Billie Jean received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at pre-adolescent a age, having been baptized at Galatians Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor Norwood.
Billie Jean leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Rhonda (Kelvin) Jameson, Roncelle Jameson, son, Ronnell Jameson (Gena) of Kansas City, Missouri, sisters, Bessie L. Johnson, Berniece Simms, Arthelia E. Williams, her brothers, Arthur E. Williams, (Amy) Nathaniel B. Williams (Teresa) and Charles E. Williams all of Kansas City, Missouri, thirty-two grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.
