Bishop Preston Legrone Sr.

Bishop Preston LeGrone, Sr., passed away on December 18, 2021, at St. Luke’s East Hospital, in Lee’s Summit, MO. Bishop Preston LeGrone was born on September 26, 1950, to Luke LeGrone and Willie Lee LeGrone. Bishop LeGrone grew up in Ethelsville, Alabama, where he graduated from Pickens County High School.

Bishop LeGrone married Isabell LeGrone on November 13, 1972, in Kansas City, MO, and they were happily married for 49 years.

Bishop LeGrone was preceded in death by his parents, Luke LeGrone, and Willie Lee LeGrone; Helen Fulghum, Mint Michigan, Bennie (JoAnn) LeGrone, Shirley Latham, and Roseland Guyton.

Bishop Preston LeGrone, Sr., is survived by his wife, Bishop Isabell LeGrone; his children, Tanya (Elgin) McNack, Nicole (Timothy) LeGrone-Saunders, and Preston LeGrone, Jr.; his siblings, Donald (Jean) LeGrone, Maggie Moten, and Valerie (Frank) Weaver; grandchildren, Marcedes (Curtis) LeGrone Brown, Jarmond LeGrone, Sr., Taylor LeGrone, I’Shanee (Trey Sr.) LeGrone – Williams, Alessia LeGrone, Tinia LeGrone, Preston Hopkins, Virsight Braswell, Shanice Davis, and Bre’Ayle Porter; great-grands, Jay’Lynn LeGrone, Carmelo LeGrone, Jarmond LeGrone, Jr., Milan Williams, Jayvon LeGrone, Javaris LeGrone, Sir Trey Williams, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
