Brandon Corte’ White Sr., 44, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 in Gladstone, Missouri. He was born April 19th, 1981 in Kansas City, Kansas to his parents Randy White and Joyce Gibson.

He was preceded in death by Great Grandparents, Myles and Mary Washington, Grandparents Elijah and Theresa Gibson, His Aunt and Uncle Trena Gibson and Ivan Gibson, and His biological parent Randy White.

Brandon grew up in Dallas and DeSoto, Texas before moving back to Kansas City, Missouri with his family in 1998. He attended school in Texas but completed his senior year at North Kansas City High School, graduating in 1999. He loved and played football during his senior year. He was an avid and passionate Dallas Cowboys fan for life. He was an outgoing, fun, loving, compassionate gentle lion. He was an avid reader of black history and historical facts often visiting museums and watching documentaries. He loved children and was extremely crazy about his grandchildren, and his new twin grandbabies. He was so proud, excited and ecstatic when his first and only child, Brandon Corte’ White Jr., was born.

Brandon graduated from Capital City Barber College in Kansas (2000). As a Licensed Professional Master Barber and Entrepreneur who he co-owned with two of his best friends (Tim Birdsong and Greg Shaw), a black-owned barbershop named Legendary Cutz in Gladstone, Missouri. He also worked at numerous secondary jobs throughout the metropolitan area, but his main passion was barbering.

Brandon maintained a great co-parenting relationship with Michelle DiLauro. They remained best friends over the years often leaning on each other for advice and encouragement. Through the birth of their son Brandon Corte’ White Jr., they grew an amazing friendship. They shared a great abundance of love for their grandchildren and as a blended family Brandon grew to love her children as his own.

Brandon’s best friends (Tim, Eric, Dave & Greg) were not only his best friends, they were his brothers for life. Between their healthy sports rivalries, watch parties, dart, and bowling matches, you could feel the bond they shared by being around each other. They always had each other’s backs and helped each other through their losses and also celebrated their wins.

Brandon grew up in church and was raised in a Christian household. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. Brandon leaves to cherish his loving memory: His Father and Mother (James and Joyce Merrill), Sisters (Anisha Merrill, Jasmine Merrill-Jefferson (Malcolm) of Kansas City, and Janelle Jones of Austell, Georgia, His only Son, Brandon Corte’ White Jr. (Alize), His Grandchildren (Corte’, Zaidyn, Jeremiah, and Jaicelyn). Brandon also leaves to cherish his memory: Long-time friend and Mother of his son Michelle (George) and his step-children (Kyaunna, Juante’, Develle, and Laylah), His favorite Aunt (Connie), Long-time Friend (Amber) and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family and Friends.
