Brenda Faye Gipson

Brenda Faye Gipson, age 71, was born March 2, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri to Willie Gipson Sr. and Alberta (Lee) Harper. She departed this life on August 23, 2025.

Brenda attended the Kansas City School District. She was a mother of five beautiful children. Family was everything to Brenda. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. Brenda was very big on family. When family got together, it was laughing, telling jokes, and dancing. Always had to "throw up" what we did when we were kids.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Willie Gipson (Fanny); her mother, Alberta Harper (Bonnie Harper); sisters: Mary Gipson and Carla Williamson; two brothers: Vernon Gipson and Vincent Lee; three uncles, and two aunts.

Left to cherish Brenda's memory: two sons, Cortez Simpson and Alfonzo Simpson; three daughters: Marshawn Gipson, Tiara Simpson, and Iesha Gipson; one brother, Bonnie Gipson; two sisters: Linda Williams and Phyllis Gipson; twenty-two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
