Brenda Gail (Williams) Hal, age 69, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Gladstone, Missouri. She was born on November 23, 1956, in Helena, Arkansas to Luther Hal and Rena (Williams) Bell.
Brenda grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, graduating from Wyandotte High School. She futured her education through classes specific to the insurance industry, passing the test to obtain a state-issued Workers Comp Claim Adjuster License.
She began a wonderful career as an Insurance Claim Adjuster out of high school in 1976 working 14 years for Cigna Insurance Company. Brenda loved the insurance industry and worked as a Claims Adjuster for Insurance Overload Systems for 14 years and Meadow Brook Insurance Company for 16 years with her career spanning 45 years, retiring in 2021.
Brenda was blessed to become a mother of 2 wonderful, loving sons, Jamon and Bakari. She loved them dearly and they loved her just as much, if not more.
Brenda was respected by many. "Family" meant everything to her and having a good time with good food. She loved to cook, talking on the phone with loved ones and looking after her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luther Hal and Rena (Williams) Bell; her stepfather, Cast Bell; her sister; Patricia Ann (Bell) Brown; and her brother, LeAnder Bell.
Left to cherish Brenda’s memory: her sons, Jamon Brewer and Bakari Whiting; her grandchildren: Kahree, Jamon Jr., Jamarion, Josiah, Jamia, Barkari Jr., Zylah, Karri, Kari’Auna and Nova’Rae; her brothers: Bernard Williams, Charles Edward Bell, Gregory Keith Bell and Ronald Lamar Bell; her aunts: Amy (Bell) Joseph and Emma Jean (Bell) Grace; a host nephews, nieces, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
