Brian Hishaw

Brian Lee Hishaw was born on Wednesday, September 21, 1983, to Bradis Renee Hishaw and Raymond George Jones, Jr. He was their only son. He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri and Grandview Missouri School District. After graduating from Grandview Highschool in 2002, Brian worked many positions in the local Kansas City area prior to finding his passion in the nursing field. In March of 2011, when Brian passed his Certified Nursing Assistant exam, he was so happy and proud of himself! For over 12 years, Brian worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Caring Hands LLC and Nova Center.

Brian’s personality was colorful just like his wardrobe and zest for life! He greeted everyone with a smile or a hug. Brian has a giving spirit, funny sense of humor and listening ear. He often put himself before others and was often a helping hand.

Brian’s sense of family was incredible. He loved studying his family genealogy and connecting with new family members in Oklahoma, Texas, and other regions of the country. Everyone he connected with was a newfound “cousin.”

Brian loved shooting pool, playing cards, enjoying listening to music, attending live concerts, and indulging in new culinary delights.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Jones Jr; his sister, Carenda Jones, and both sets of grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memory a mother, Bradis Hishaw; a sister, Jillian Hishaw; his best-friend and brother, Larry Burris; two nieces and a nephew, Antayza, Lottieana, and Aristotle; great-nephew, Tayzaun Harris; Emma and Larry Sr., Burris, Jameda Morris-Burris, Emiesha Burris, and a host of cousins, family and friends.
