Bryant Lloyd

Bryant Keith Lloyd was born to Rufus T. Calloway and Bonnie J. Lloyd on December 23, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life on July 14, 2016. His mother, Bonnie J. Lloyd, and father, Rufus T. Calloway; son, Darrion O. Page ("Pootie"); and brothers, Rodney Lloyd, Vincent Lloyd, Travis Lloyd, Rickey Lloyd, and nephew Demetrius Lloyd all preceded him in death. Bryant received his education in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School System and graduated from Central High School in 1978. He also ran track and loved to swim. At the age of 15, he started his career as a cook, first working at Celebrity BBQ and later moving on to his lifelong career at Gates Bar-B-Q. He worked there for over 30 years. Bryant was a man who truly loved working and taking care of his children. Along with his dedication as a father, he was a dedicated brother, grandfather and friend. He leaves behind to cherish his memory four children: Lakeisha Reynolds-Jones, Darrell Page, Bryant Lloyd, Jr., and Bonjeanae Lloyd; seven grandchildren: LIST HERE; and one great-grandchild. He also leaves behind six brothers: James, Boyd, Michael, David (Latanya), Steven, Matthew ("Smack")(Angel); and eleven sisters: Betsy, Rubydean, Sharon, Elaine, Connie, Rufusline, Doris, Charline, Lela, Francine, Octavia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
