Carlos Andre Thompson 48 departed this life on May 24, 2025.
He was born on February 11, 1977, in Kansas City, MO to Gradie and Linda Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gradie & Linda Thompson, maternal grandmother Corine Pettit, brother and sister Rodney and Sonya Pettit and a special Aunt Lynne Jackson.
Carlos, known to many as Dub or Los, was very dedicated to his family and friends. He was educated in the Kansas City Public School district; he graduated from Westport High School, home of the Tiger in 1995. He was employed at United Energy Workers Healthcare where he loved the work he did, especially cooking, and we all know that Dub loved to cook. Cooking was something that he mastered, he talked about his love for cooking and would help you out in the kitchen.
Dub had a smile that would brighten up any room, he loved his family and would do anything for the people he loved. Carlos was also dedicated to his family Saturday morning prayer group. He also loved to dress he would be matching from head to toe, and you couldn’t tell Dub nothing because he knew he was sharper than a knife.
Carlos accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of Bishop Travis C. Shockley at Greater Works Church, he was a faithful member, and he served on the hospitality board.
He leaves to cherish his memories: 1 brother Jason (Star)Thompson, 2 sister’s LaTasha (Shannon) Douglas and Lakesha (Carl) Zollar and host of uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews, cousin’s, his 3 special cousin's Angie, Mineka, and Erica, a best best friend of 30 plus years Monique Williams as other family and friends that loved him deeply and his second family the Williams.
