Carlton V. White was born to the late Albert White and Everlee Canady on May 8, 1950, in Cleveland, Arkansas along with his twin brother Carthen.
Carlton graduated from Wonderview High School in St. Vincent, Arkansas and attended Allen County Training School for 1 year in Menifee, Arkansas.
Carlton attended Moores Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Cleveland, Arkansas, where he accepted Christ at an early age.
Carlton moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1968. He worked for the Wonder Bread Company and retired after 20 years. He later worked for the United States Postal Service for several years doing seasonal work, and was also employed by the Infinity Fastner Company where he would often go to work even when his health was failing.
On May 8, 2005, Carlton married his loving sweetheart, Sheila Dilworth.
Carlton joined Macedonia Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri in 2005, where he served faithfully on the Adult Usher Ministry if his health allowed.
Carlton was easygoing, friendly, and a joy to be around. He was always willing to help whenever he could.
Carlton enjoyed spending his time watching sports, especially baseball and football. He was a member of the Stone City Riders Motorcycle Club of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Corvette Connected Club of Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed playing dominoes and won several trophies for displaying his skill. He also loved playing Bid Whist and going fishing, which was another past time that delighted him.
Carlton passed away on March 9, 2025, at 74 years of age at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas after battling a prolonged illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Everlee White, his four brothers: Albert White, Jr., Mervin (Jack) White, Verlee (Duke) White, and Carthen (Twin) White; one sister Martha Sue White.
He leaves to celebrate his memory and his life , his loving wife, Sheila White, of 20 years, sons: Kim Taylor and Desmond White, daughter Crystal Thomas, all of Kansas City, Missouri, sisters: Alberta White Harvey, Gola White Byers, Gwendolyn White Hemmingway, all of Kansas City, Missouri, and Marcelle White Toney of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren: Knighton Kelly, Eric Dilworth, Sr. (Shelly), Ricky Dilworth, Carrie Dilworth Randall (David), Kevon (Main Man) Griffin, Eric Dilworth, Jr., Aaron Dilworth, Devin Randall, Devon Randall, and Davion Randall, all of Kansas City, Missouri; one great granddaughter, K’Moni of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters-in-law: Essie White of Kansas City, Missouri and Mary White of Cleveland, Arkansas.
