Carol Ann Allen, affectionately known as Nana & Camay, transitioned peacefully from this earthly life on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life. She was a beacon of resilience, embodying the true spirit of selflessness and dedication. Her unwavering support and boundless love have shaped our lives in ways words cannot fully capture. As a single parent, she embraced the role of both provider and protector with unparalleled strength and devotion. Her tireless efforts ensured that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren always felt safe, loved, and cared for. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, dancing, and watching her grandchildren participate in sporting events. She cherished and loved time spent with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was the life of all family gatherings, and was a was a true caregiver, nurturer, and provider. Most of her career was spent in the nursing field, caring for patients, both in nursing facilities and in-home care. She also worked as a court process server for the Municipal Court in Kansas City, MO.
Carol received her education in the Kansas City Missouri school district and professed her love for Christ and joined Sunrise Baptist Church years ago.
Carol was born August 8, 1941, to Charlie Martin and Jennie Mosley. She was the eleventh of fourteen children, including one half-sister and one half-brother. She was preceded in death by her father Charlie Martin, her mother Jennie Martin, twelve siblings, and beloved daughter Rhonda Willoughby (Suzy). To cherish her loving memories; one sister, Virginia Overman (Paul) of Raytown, MO, five daughters; Carla Martin (Temple Hill, MD), Ronald Hamilton (Little Falls, MN), Roy Hamilton (Gail) of Kansas City, MO, Carol Hamilton (Raytown, MO), Linda Hamilton (Kansas City, KS), Rochelle Robinson (Independence, MO), Bonnie Hamilton (Fort Worth, TX), fifteen grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
Though she has transitioned, her memories live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her love, care, and strength.
