Carol Britt

Carol was born July 15, 1947 to Rosa M. Tolbert and Bennie Britt Sr. Carol departed this life on November 22, 2021. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Britt, Sr. and Rosa M. Tolbert; daughter, Tiwana Britt; brother, Melvin Tolbert; two nieces, Mickell Tolbert, and Beautiful Tolbert; three nephews, De’Andre Tolbert, Devon Noland, and Gary Noland.

Carol accepted Christ at an early age and attended The Rock Church for 20 years.

Carol loved spending time with family especially her grands and great grands. Carol also loved food, soaps, going to church, and watching CNN. Carol retired from St. Luke’s Hospital after working for over 30 years. Carol was the Matriarch of the family. Carol was like a mother to everyone and opened her home to more people than you could count, and friends became family, she never met a stranger.

Carol leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Sherese Britt (Tomas); Temesha Britt of Kansas City, MO; stepfather, Robert Gibbs; grandchildren, Porchia Jones, Michela Hill, Michael Jones, and Damius Sanderson all of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Jayluh Bradley, Deante Cook, (Baby Cook), Jayaun Bradley, Lyric Starlight, and Jaycere Bradley all from Kansas City, MO; six sisters, Carmeila Nolan, Thersa Watson, Diane (Alvin) Frazier, Rosalind (Ricky) Hampton, Elaine Guy, and Molly Forte; four brothers, Bennie Britt, Jr. (Elizabeth), Albuquerque, New Mexico, Otis Tolbert, Jr., Michael Tolbert (Jackie) Sr, and AC Tolbert (Tammy) all of Kansas City, MO; and a host of relatives and friends.
