Carolyn Jones

Carolyn LaJuana Jones (Crofton) was born on March 3, 1934 in Tollette, Arkansas to lnez & Caesar Crofton. Carolyn was the fourth of nine children. Her parents and 5 of her siblings James Crofton, June Crofton, Marjorie Crofton, Myra Deloney, Norma Henderson preceded her in death.

Carolyn attended Howard County Training High School, graduated in 1952 and went on to Lincoln Junior College from 1952-1954. She continued her education at General Hospital School of Nursing and graduated ln October 1956. She later received her Nursing license from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Carolyn and Leon Daniel Jones Sr. were married on November 27 ,1959. They lived in Kansas City, Missouri and their matrimony continued until her husband passed away. To this union 2 children were born, Leon D. Jones and Carla D. Jones.

Carolyn began her nursing career at General Hospital which later became Truman Medical Center where her career expanded for 50 years. She worked in Surgery, Labor and Delivery and finally found her passion in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Carolyn attended St. Monica Catholic Church of Kansas City, Missouri where she was an active and faithful member for more than 50 years. She served in hospitality and as an usher. She loved the Lord, her church, and the parishioners.

She leaves to cherish her memories, 3 Sisters, Barbara Brunson, (Glenn), Chicago, lL Muriel Gamble (Donald), Chicago lL, Lareeta Wyche, Chicago lL, 2 Sisters-in-law and 2 Brothers-in-law, Mary Crofton, Nashville, AR, Henry Henderson, Chicago, lL Charles Jones (Bennie) San Antonio, TX, a son  Leon Jones (Letha) and daughter, Carla Jones, a grandson, Mark Willis, many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
