Cassandra D Mcpherson

Cassandra Donnett McPherson, 65, passed away on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at St. Luke’s East Hospital, in Lee’s Summit, MO. She was born on January 20, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to Antietta McPherson. She grew up in Kanas City, MO and graduated from The Loretto Academy School for Girls. After graduation she attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Cassandra held several positions in her career with the Jackson County Court System to include Guardian ad Litem, Parent Aid Services, and Paralegal. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to producing local music talent and concert promotions throughout the Metro area. Cassandra was an avid Chiefs fan and had a love for elephants.

She was married to Walter Crawford, Sr. from 1974 to 1979.

Cassandra is preceded in death by her mother Antietta McPherson, brother Adell Young, Jr., and nephew Landon Maltbia.

She is survived by father Adell Young, Sr., step mother Margaret Young, daughter Jamila Crawford, son Walter J. Crawford (Steven Jones), sister Chavonne L. Lloyd (Herman Lloyd), granddaughter Taylor Scott, nephews Wymann Simpson and Ricky Maltbia, niece Saharah Lima and a host of extended family, friends and loved ones.
