Catherine Ferguson

Catherine Ferguson, affectionately known as Baby Sister, 92, fell asleep in death on December 26, 2022, at Highland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Kansas City, MO. She was born on December 2, 1930, in Kansas City, KS to Byrd and Carrie Ferguson the youngest of four. She grew up in Kansas City, KS and Chicago, IL. She graduated from Sumner High School in Kansas City, KS. She married and divorced Richard Allen Sr. and to this union two children were born, Richard Allen Jr. and Terry Allen. During her life she worked in domestic cleaning and was appreciated by her clients for her hard work and diligence. Baby Sister truly lived her life enjoying simple pleasures chatting with family and friends, listening to music, and people watching. Family and friends will remember Baby Sister as a loving, kind, and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son Terry Allen; sister Willa Jean Lewis (; brothers Byrd Ferguson Jr.; Norman Ferguson (Bessie), niece Carrie Ferguson and nephews Norman Ferguson Jr. and Geno Ferguson. She leaves to cherish her memory; son Richard Allen Jr. (Sheila); daughter-in-law Joan Allen; grandchildren Tantana Dougherty (Jason), Richard Allen III (Tory), Derrick Allen (Jessica); great grandchildren, Brittney Clark, Aspen Dougherty, Timothy Dougherty, Aubrey Allen, Jordan Allen, Micah Allen, Jalen Allen, Richard Allen IV; great-great grandchild Dylan Clark II. And her nieces and nephews Collen Davis, Denise Ferguson, Anthony Ferguson, Darren Ferguson, Byrd Ferguson, Pamela Ferguson, Paula Ferguson, Joe Nathan Friar, John Friar, Connell Friar and a host of other family and friends.
