Catherine Minor

Catherine Lois Minor, 72 was born on May 27, 1945 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to O.T. Clark and Argurtha (Banks) Clark. She was born third of six children. Catherine was joined in marriage to Richard Minor on August 19, 1967. She was blessed with three children.

Catherine worked for several decades in service to others, in several capacities. She worked as a care provider in the adult day care setting, as a nursing assistant, and finally as a switchboard operator, at the time of her retirement. She served as a Missionary at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. She loved attending church, and did so as often as her health allowed. She was a regular attendant of the outreach ministry of St. James United Methodist Church, when they visited her residence at St. James Place.

Catherine loved God deeply and enjoyed sharing her love for Him with others. She loved her family, shopping from home, and watching movies. Catherine departed this life on January 25, 2018, surrounded by love. She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece Angela Clark, her sister Velma Clark, and her brothers Alfred Benton, Edward Clark, and Richard Clark.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, O.T. Clark, Jr.; two daughters, Debra Parks-Thomas and Alesia Britt; one honorary daughter, Debra Jackson; one son, Gary Clark, Sr.; six grandchildren, Arlesia Fortson (C.D.), Cornelius Flowers, Jr., Emi Moore (Jeremy), Gary Clark, Jr., Terrell Allen, and Keiyah Cole; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Thomas, Josiah Fortson, Jacob Fortson, Jaedon Moore, Jaziah Moore, and Juvian Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
