Cecil Carl Briscoe was born on May 19, 1958 in Newport, Arkansas to the union of Cecil W. Briscoe and Joethal Briscoe. Cecil departed this life on August 10, 2020 at Research Medical.
Cecil moved to Kansas City, Missouri with his father and mother in 1958, just a baby at the time. He went to school in the Kansas City School District, graduating from Lincoln High School. After high school, Cecil worked at Trinity Lutheran hospital before his health started failing him. Later on in life, he worked for Blue Valley Industries for a number of years.
Cecil had many ups and downs in life. But he was a man who continued to love Jesus. As a teenager, he became a member of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. For nine years, Cecil enjoyed having his own apartment. His caretakers took him to every holiday and birthday parties yearly, because he loved to dance and play the guitar.
His last place of residence was Kansas City South Nursing and Rehab, where he had many friends.
Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil W. Briscoe and Joethal. Briscoe.
He leaves to cherish his memories his brothers, Harold Gant (very special sister to him, Gwendolyn), Edwin L. (Lil Fox) Briscoe, Glenn E. (Foxx) Briscoe (LaVonnie); his sister, Laverne Lunn and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
