Listen to Obituary

CHARLES EDWARD HUBBARD III was born on September 25, 1967, to Charles Edward Hubbard Jr and Hazel Irene Hubbard at General Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents preceded him in death. Through the guidance of his parents, Grandparents (Charles E. and Luella Hubbard Sr.), and his Great Grandmother (Katherine Price), he accepted Christ at an early age. Charles was baptized at Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Central Senior High School, Class of 1986.

Charles met the Love of his life Dianne Elizabeth Carroll in high school, and they united their love together on April 7, 1994, and to this union two sons were born, Charles Edward Hubbard, IV., and Michael Anthony Hubbard, who preceded him in death.

Charles worked for over 15 years at GEO firm and Trinity Bid Tech. He also loved listening to his music, writing poetry, his love of art, and most of all, his love of family. Churkie, is what his Aunt Valerie called him. He always loved to make you laugh with his funny videos and loved his old school cars like his dad.

Charles took a rest from life on January 24, 2024. God welcomed Charles into His Kingdom where he will always know health, joy, peace, and everlasting love.

He leaves to forever cherish his loving memory: his best friend/wife of over 40 years, Dianne Hubbard of the home; son, Charles E. Hubbard IV (Vanessa); daughter, Nakia Mouzan (Jeremy) of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; Antron Pinkins Jr, Micah Harris, Mykayla Harris of North Carolina, Shamiyah Hubbard, Charles E. Hubbard V., Mykel Hubbard, Ramone Hubbard of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Terry Robinson (Kenneth) of Kansas City, Missouri, Tammy Carroll of Emporia, KS, and Ashley Cummings (Kansas City, Missouri); four brothers, Mark Nelson (Debbie West, who preceded him in death) of Kansas City, Missouri, Rick Collins of Topeka, KS, Robert Hubbard of Kansas City, Missouri, and Christopher Hubbard of Kansas City, Missouri; two loving aunts: Valerie Hubbard Broils of Katy, Texas, and Marcella Cowan of Kansas City, Missouri; two loving sisters-in-Law: Sherry Griffin of Kansas City, Missouri, and Latonya Baker of Kansas City, Missouri; two special loving first cousins, Terri Crowder of Loganville, Georgia, and Maurice Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri.

Charles’ smile, laughter, and love will live in the hearts of a host of cousins, other relatives, co-workers and multitudes of family and friends.
