Charles S. Mcgee, Jr.

Charles McGee, 80, was born on July 27, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles McGee and Evangeline McGee. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and attended Sumner High School.

He worked for Braniff Airlines as a Ski Cap and then became an employer of Meyers West a manufacturing Chrysler parts from which he retired.

Charles met and married Sheela L. Gray in March 1973 and they were happily married for forty five years.

Charles never met a stranger and loved helping any and every one in need. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars, barbequing and spending time with family and friends.

Charles, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Evangeline McGee, two brothers, Ivan and Allen McGee, four sisters, Violet Lasley, Maeesther Williams, Clarice McGee, and Mari lyn McGee, and grandson, Carl Marshall, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sheela McGee; children, Rhonda Small (Troy), New York, Tina McGee, Aurora CO, Terri Watkins, Overland Park, KS, Dana Brown, N. Kansas City, MO, Charles B. McGee, Overland Park, KS, Mark Gray, Kansas City, MO and Charley McGee, Wichita, KS and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members and friends.
