Charles-Zetta Sanders

Charles-zetta (Bey) Ragins-Sanders was born July 20, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles J. Bey, Sr. and Ima Mae Hasker-Bey.

Charles-zetta attended Kansas City, Kansas public schools graduating from Sumner High School Class of 1971. She completed her Bachelor's and Masters degrees from Kansas State University (Physical Education) and Friends University (Elementary Education) respectively.

Her teaching career expanded to Wichita, Kansas School District, Kansas City Kansas School District 500, Bayou LaCombe, LA School District, and Kansas City, Missouri public schools. She supervised summer programs for teens. She enjoyed teaching, dancing (aerobics), traveling, playing the violin and strongly advocating being treated RIGHT (herself and others). Most of all, she was a true-to-heart DELTA SIGMA THETA Sorority Inc. participant. Not to mention a charter member of the Alpha Angels on behalf of her younger Brother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles J. Bey, Sr.; her mother, Ima Mae Hasker-Bey; one daughter, Jernice I. Sanders; along with seven of her siblings.

Charles-zetta leaves to cherish her loving memories: three children: Kevin Jermaine Jackson of Phoenix, AZ, Cetewayo M. Ragins of Lawrence, Kansas, Jeree M. I. Sanders of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren: Jerryn M. Jackson, Kierra S. Jackson, Jonah Willit's, Jelani A. Ragins, Kaylah R. Jackson, Kyliana J. Jackson and Kaaya S. Jackson. She also leaves, four of eleven siblings: Ebb Everett, Rosie Peeler, Victor Bey, and Charles Bey II. Special friends: Pamela Baskin, Pamela Mitchell, and Beverly Rentie and many more.
