Chester Lee Smith

Chester Lee Smith, Sr., 68, passed away on February 2, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital, in Kansas City, MO. He was born on June 8, 1949 in Homer Louisiana to Willie B. Smith, Sr. and Rachel Mack Eason. He grew up in Kansas City, MO. Chester attended and graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded into death by his dad; Willie B. Smith, Sr., grandparents; Rev. Ellis & Annie B. Mack, brothers; Willie B. Smith, Jr., Willie G. Water, sister; Maria Eason, niece; LaCreshia Mack and son; Jason J. Smith.

He began working for H&R Block as a Fork Lifter/ Maintenance Mechanic where he worked for many years. After working for many years, Chester decided it was time for him to retire. He was involved in helping with the food pantries in his building. He married Leeunice Smith in KCMO. They were happily married for many years. Chester love his family, he was the life of any gathering. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by daughter; Sherry A. Tibbs (Ray), son; Chester Smith, Jr., ex-wife; Leeunice Smith, mother; Rachel Mack – Eason; brothers; David Mack, Eddie Garnes, James Eason, sisters; Bobbie Mack, Jamesetta Eason, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
