Chiquita L Townsend

Chiquita Louisa Townsend, 55, passed away on May 20, 2018 at home, in Kansas City, MO. She was born on November 1, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Floyd Dorch and Almeta E. Townsend. She grew up in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, MO. She began work for St. Vincent as a childcare provider, where she worked for 15 until she retired in 2010.

She was preceded into death by both parents, Almeta Townsend and Floyd Dorch; sisters, Joetta Scott and Yolanda (Fat Lady) Townsend.

She leaves to cherish her memories; daughters, Almeta Carmons, Marquita Townsend; son, Antone Townsend; Love of her life, Iley Simmons; sisters, Sarah Daniels (Lester) and Shelia Hooks, Willetta Jankins; brother, Floyd (Cherokee) Brooks (Nyeesha), four grandchildren, Monique Carmons, Shanique Carmons, Domanique Carmons, Mar’Kee Townsend-Dorch; one great granddaughter, Amoriana Carmons; special cousin, Willetta (Renee) Gunn and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
