Christina Louise Hubbard, 35, of Harrisonville, MO, passed away on January 31, 2026. Christina was preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer Lynn (Miller) Hubbard (2020), and her brother, Christopher Hubbard (2020).
Christina is survived by her father, Paul Hubbard (Jenny Hubbard) and her brother Jeremiah McKernan (Kelsey McKernan) and her beloved children: Damione (18), Serenity (14), Scout (13) and Atticus (2). She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.
Christina’s life was one marked by resilience, growth, and deep compassion. After struggling with addiction for many years, she clawed her way out and rebuilt her life through the support of Amethyst Place in Kansas City – a program dedicated to helping mothers overcome addiction and abusive relationships while providing housing, stability, and hope.
Through determination and strength, Christina achieved long-term sobriety, earned her master's degree in social work, and returned to Amethyst Place – not as a client, but as a coach for other mothers, walking beside women who were fighting the same battles she once faced.
Her empathy was boundless. Christina had a rare ability to truly see people, to meet them where they were without judgement, and to offer genuine hope. She helped countless women find their footing, their voices and their belief in a better future.
Above all else, Christina was a fierce and devoted mother. Her children were her heart, her purpose and her greatest pride. She loved them deeply and fought hard to give them a better life. She also loved music, connection and helping others-living a life rooted in service and care.
In her final act of generosity, Christina chose to be an organ donor, giving others the gift of life and healing-a reflection to the selfless way she lived.
Christina’s story is one of redemption, courage, and love. Her impact will continue to be felt through the lives she touched, the women she helped rise, and the children she loves with all her heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established GoFundMe to support Christina’s children and help with ongoing expenses.
