Clotiel Denise McMillian

Clotiel was born on March 30, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Petey Stamps and Mary Maxine McMillian. She was raised in Kansas City, where she spent most of her life surrounded by family, friends, and the community she loved.

Clotiel earned her GED and dedicated herself to caring for others throughout her life. She worked as a teacher at Lollipop Learning Center for three years, where she found joy in helping children learn and grow. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond the classroom, as caregiving was not only something she did, it was who she was. She freely gave her love, compassion, and support to family, friends, and anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her father, Petey Stamps; her mother, Mary Maxine McMillian; her sisters, Ann Hopson, Essie “Annette” Watson, and Denise Watson; her nephews, Jerry Byers and Demarco Price; her niece Renee York, her aunt, Kathy McMillian; her uncle, Marvin McMillian; her grandfather, Mike McMillian; and her grandmother, Anna McMillian.

Clotiel leaves to cherish her precious memories of her three beloved sons, Marlon McMillian, Michael “Mikee” McMillian, and Sir Myron McMillian; and a loving legacy of grandchildren, including Marlon McMillian Jr., Michael McMillian, Macyn McMillian, Marlona McMillian, Myro McMillian, and Marschelle McMillian, along with a host of great grandchildren, two bonus daughters: Ingrid Burns and Leah Flemming. And a host of other relatives and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
