Cornell E. Duncan was born April 8, 1934 in rural Wright County, MO to the union of Edward D. Duncan and Oshea Oliver.  Both parents preceded him in death.

He was the first born of 10 children born to this union.  His father, Edward, also had a daughter from a previous marriage, Virginia Palmer of Kansas City, MO.  Of his 11 siblings, 5 preceded him in death.  He is survived by 5 siblings,  Barbara Jean (John) Dydell of Olathe, KS., Hartense Duncan and Sharon Duncan of Overland Park, KS., Phillip Duncan (Willie) of Oakland, CA and Ronnie Duncan (Christine) of Olathe, KS., as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Cornell married the love of his life Margaret Wilson on December 30,1967.  Brought to this marriage were Dr. Vickie Renee' Wilson (Atlanta, GA) and Cornell Duncan, JR. (Fayetteville, NC).  This union lasted over 30 years until her passing in 1996.

"Mr. Duncan" as he was fondly called by many was a sergeant in the United States Army for many years.  After retiring in 1973, he worked at several management positions until he officially retired around 2015.

His hobbies included waxing his vehicles, included his lawnmower, watching westerns on t.v., collecting hats, fishing, blues and R&B music especially Etta James.  He was a sharp dresser back in the day and liked nice clothes and accessories. Above all, he appreciated family and enjoyed whenever his got together.
