Corran Eron Crosby, affectionately known as "Corey", 41, departed his life on earth on July 29, 2025, in Kansas City, MO.
Corey was born October 11, 1983, in Kansas City, MO to Clifford Eugene Crosby and Irma Jean (Carter) Crosby, who raise him with love and strength, and instilled into him a deep sense of compassion and resilience. The bond Corey had with his parents was unbreakable, and they continued to show him support throughout his life.
Corey attended the Hickman Mills C-1 School District and later received his GED; he also went on to earn his Electrician Certification. Corey was a natural born salesperson and enjoyed working with his cousin Mark Crosby at Supreme Auto Sales.
Despite the hardships he faced, Corey continued to grow, love, and inspire those around him. His journey on earth was not without struggle, but it was marked with courage, growth and a deep love for his family. Corey was a protector at heart, always watching over the people he loved and standing firm in what he believed to be true, especially about his siblings.
Everyone who knew Corey knew how much he enjoyed being the life of the party, how much he loved to laugh and keep others laughing, and how much he loved to sing. Let him tell it, he was the best singer he knew. Corey also had a love for shopping especially for hats and shoes, and spending time with his cousins.
Corey will always be remembered for trying to become a “Millionaire in a Year.” We’ll continue to replay him saying, "how worrisome someone else is" every day. Corey’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Corey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Larris and Emma Carter, and his paternal grandparents, Ellsworth and Evelyn Crosby.
Left to cherish Corey's memory: his parents, Clifford and Irma Crosby; his son, Tyreek Cheadle; his granddaughter, Milah Cheadle; two brothers: Covell Crosby (Yolanda), and Cameron Crosby; his sister, Amri Crosby; three nieces: Amme Crosby, Chastity Crosby and Kaliyah Crosby; three nephews: Amar’e Crosby, Carmuan Crosby, and Cayden Crosby; best friend/favorite cousin Malik Allen; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
