Danaya Eunice Blair

Danaya Eunice Blair, 18, passed away on July 19, 2026, on 350 Highway in Raytown, Missouri. Danaya was born on June 17, 2008, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Danaya Blair Sr. and Shantel Hams-Bates.

Danaya grew up in both Grandview and Kansas City, Missouri, and Danaya graduated from Grandview High School. After high school, she planned to attend UMKC, where she would have received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Danaya began working for Carnegie Village as a CNA, where she worked for one year. Danaya was also involved in cheerleading, competitive dance (Reign KC) and drill team (Broadway Drill Team).

Danaya was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Mary Hams, and paternal grandmother, Janice Blair. Danaya is survived by her mother, Shantel Hams-Bates (Antonio Bates); her father, Daniel Blair Sr. (Neia Blair); siblings, Jasmine Richardson, Daniel Blair Jr., Alisha Jimenez (Marcus Jimenez), Tamara Cobb, Danesha Atkinson, and Dominique Atkinson; and step-siblings Jaheim Hoskin, Anaya Hoskins, Anesia Hoskins, and Ayden Bates.
