Daniel Patrick Clarke, Sr.

Mr. Daniel Patrick Clarke Sr. was born to the union of Raymond and Georgia Mae Lawton Clarke on August 17, 1932 in Marshall, TX. He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother George Clarke, a sister Fannie Mae Williams and a great granddaughter Courtni Maree Starr.

Daniel was educated in the Texas school system, graduating from Pemberton High School in 1950. He also attended Bishop College. Shortly after, he was called for duty to serve in the Army. He met his wife for life Juanita King. Through blood, sweat and tears it ended after 62 years. To this union, 3 children were born. He was a loving husband and father who didn’t say much but meant what he said.

Daniel leaves to mourn his passing a loving wife, Juanita, of 62 years; a son Daniel Patrick Clarke Jr. (Gwen) of Kansas City, MO; 2 daughters, Bridgette Clarke of Las Vegas, NV and Jatina Gillen (Robert) of Grandview, MO; a special grandson Dan Juan Day; 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; one sister Fleta Osborn of Austin, TX, one brother Willie James Clarke of Dallas, TX, and two sisters-in-law, Dr. Elenor Good and Ruth Roberson, and one brother-in-law Alfonzo King all of Kansas City, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
